To find your most important task, think about yourself at the end of the day. If you only got one thing done, what task would make you feel most accomplished at the end of the day? Start your day with that.Constrain the time you work. I work in 1–1.5 hours sessions with untimed breaks in between. When researchers at Florida State University looked at elite performers, they found the best performers practiced in uninterrupted, 90-minute sessions and rarely worked more than four and a half hours in a day. I can feel my energy level and focus dip as I get to the end of an hour of focused work. Constraining the time you work helps you stay focused. I used to set aside full days for focused work. The problem was because I had all day, I would relax. This often led to procrastination. Now I use a timer to clock my 1–1.5 hour work sessions. If you feel like you have lots of time to do something, you’ll find ways to fill that time. Often by doing easier, less important things. By shortening the time frame, you’re forced to focus.3. Maintain good health.You don’t have to workout every day. Just move. Though our bodies crave movement, you don’t need a huge workout to get the level of exercise you need to be healthy. One thing he consistently found was the impact of constant, low intensity exercise, either from walking, standing up and sitting down, or tending to a garden. You have received some incredibly brilliant answers, many from extremely qualified and well placed individuals too, so let me give you a foreigner's practical perspective, if I may.I was born in Italy, didn't speak a word of English when I first came to London thirty years ago, there were no 'online resources' then, and I remember going to the movies  bringing a pocket dictionary with me. The problem was though, I did not know the spelling of most words I heard on screen, so I always felt like attempting synchronized swimming in a force 10 gale at sea.One day, a very old guy who was sitting next to me at the cinema, noticing how furiously and frustratingly I was flicking my well worn out dictionary, asked me how well I wanted to speak. "Like I native" I answered. He laughed and said that that was not possible, but he could teach me so people would be impressed by my English nevertheless. We met regularly and talked about all sorts of things,  it turned up he was a retired professor of modern languages at Cambridge University, fluent in Italian too.He told me that the only way to become almost perfect at speaking a language, not just English, was to allow others to correct you, even constantly, as you speak. He said that that would irritate most people immensely, but surely it was the best and fastest way. So he did, and I remember these surreal and surely  irritatingly stuttered conversations, that eventually became more balanced, as he interrupted me less and less.One evening we were together at a dinner party and a lady sitting next to us complimented me on my English, saying it was perfect, asking where I came from. Before I could answer he said to her, visibly irritated, that if my English was truly perfect she wouldn't have noticed.As we were walking home I asked him how I could improve further, especially my diction, so to become perfect. How well would A-10 Warthog fare against contemporary Russian-made fighters?
I concur with about 95%+ of everything else already said in response to this question.  As someone who has flown the A-10, I'll add my $0.02.The A-10 would fare, in a word: poorly.The Warthog is the best there is at what it does, which is close air support (and CAS-type) missions.  Everything else is meant to be done by other airframes.  The F-22, for example, exists to gain air superiority or, better yet, air supremacy.I believe that is one critical piece that many folks (including many Air Force generals) forget... close air support is meant to take place in a semi-permissive environment where control of the skies is relatively uncontested.  There will always be ground threats, but this question focuses on the air piece.I never did dissimilar combat training against Russian aircraft, but I did mix it up with some Mud Hens once (F-15E Strike Eagles).  In my four-ship cell, half of us died in the first pass.  Fortunately, since we were Red Air, we were able to go to the respawn point and come back for some more fun.By the time we got back in the fight, the Mud Hens decided to jump in the phone booth with us and mix it up old school in a knife fight.  In a turning fight we have a chance, and I managed to get one of them with Sidewinders, and was just lining up to send some 30mm up the tailpipes of a second when the fight got called off.Real world?  We probably never would have seen them coming.  Our radar warning would have gone off to let us know a radar missile was about to say "howdy," and we'd  either die tense or get to try out that ACES II seat with the silk letdown.Contemporary Russian fighters are on par with at least our best 4th-generation-plus fighters.  So, I expect the results would be about the same.

Your trouble is not lack of skills but lack of practice. That is the only thing that will help you improve. So - though it doesn’t sound very helpful, no matter how nervous you are, get in there and do it. Do it a lot. Soon you will have had more practice and experience and you will not be nervous.
